Interesting. A 1,000 word feature story on the humanitarian crisis in Venezuela which skillfully avoids mentioning the CAUSE of the crisis.
One of the goals of socialism to make everyone as economically equal as possible. From that standpoint, Venezuela is an unqualified success since the people are now equally miserable.
Now we cue the apologists who assure us that this was, actually, not REAL Socialism. Oh sure, Progressives called it socialism…up until the time it stopped working. Then they dropped it like a hot horseshoe.
No, now it is some odd-permutation of socialism. “Authoritarianism” has been my favorite so far. There are many others. They are equally inane.
